Growing up with a passion for learning, Jennipha became the first in her family to graduate college. She developed a love for research and work in the areas of Cognitive Science, Social Psychology and Lexical Memory.
While still an undergraduate, she conducted a study with 173 subjects and has presented her findings at several international conferences. She continued in the field of research into graduate school. Currently she is working to complete her for article for publication, while completing her Ph.D.
By grace, fate or wild luck Jennipha, would compete and win her states beauty pageant and be crowned as Ms. California.
During her reign as Ms. California, she traveled over 120,000 miles, promoting her platform. Using her title to raise awareness, Jennipha formed Lipsticks & Laptops, a 501(c)3 non-profit to raise awareness for the need for girls and minority students to have access and training in the fields of Science & Technology.
A dedication to advocacy and community outreach would begin in high school and expand throughout college. During her bachelors and on into graduate school she worked with Microsoft as a technology advocate. Annually Jennipha highlighted Microsoft’s Imagine Cups efforts to help solve the United Nations Millennium Goals. Her advocacy would grow and expand into areas of legislative support and development in here professional work advocated for Gender Equality & Universal Education.
